Best for: Matcha. Well-presented drinks. Exquisite cups, saucers, & spoons. Unique, spectacular interior design. Cakes, pastries & mochi available. Very friendly, professional staff.

Not so good for: Tables were a little too low.

Area: Stefana Okrzei, Praga-Północ

Verdict: Simply excellent. A memorable experience to be repeated.

Atmosphere: Artistic, calm

Best for: Fantastic art nouveau interior. Luxurious feel, with reasonable prices. Quiet music in the background. A calm, serene place to be. One of the best cheesecakes we have ever tried (Sernik aksamitny [gluten-free]). Friendly, charming staff.

Not the best for: Matcha was simply good.

Milk options: Cow, Coconut, Almond, Soy, Oat.

Area: Chmielna, Śródmieście

Verdict: A hugely charming café.

Atmosphere: Homely, peaceful

Best for: Pleasant atmopshere, with connections to Swedish cafe culture. Many pastries, including cinnamon buns, available. Incredibly charming, professional staff. Excellent hospitality. High-quality, well-presented drinks.

Not the best for: Not a huge range to choose from.

Milk options: Lactose-free, Oat, Rice, Soy, Almond, Hazelnut, Pea.

Verdict: A lovely place to spend time.

Atmosphere: Social, relaxed

Best for: Incredible matcha. A few types of foccacia on offer. Premium feel. Exquisite cups & saucers. Professional staff. Pleasant, intriguing interior design. Specialty coffee.

Not the best for: Too small. Only 4 or 5 tables.

Verdict: A great place to spend time with friends.

Atmosphere: Artistic, lively

Best for: Colourful, vibrant interior. Excellent calming, yet energetic music. Very comfortable and cosy. Cups, saucers & cutlery are like works of art. Bagels, waffles, cakes, & more. Excellent matcha.

Not the best for: Perhaps it is too colourful for some.

Verdict: An exceedingly pleasant experience.

Atmosphere: Homely, peaceful

Best for: Cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Amazing meringue cake (gluten-free). Huge portion sizes. Good tea options. Excellent service. Many books to read (Polish & English). Reasonable prices.

Not the best for: Cups & furniture are a little uninspiring.

Verdict: A peaceful break from the busy Old Town streets.

Best for: Ideal for coffee connoisseurs. Multiple brewing methods available. Energetic atmosphere. Modern styling. Very tasty lemonades & great matcha. Good selection of vegetarian options. Sells a vast range of coffee beans & equipment for home brewing.

Not the best for: Lacks charm somewhat.

Verdict: Perfect for the chatty lovers of coffee.

Best for: For coffee lovers. Various coffee options. Very good matcha. Pleasant atmosphere. Good music. A great place to spend time. Friendly, professional staff. Provided water along with the ordered beverage. Good range of dishes & desserts.

Not the best for: Comfortable seating

Verdict: Ideal for a break from walking around Łazienki Królewskie.

Atmosphere: Urban styling, calm

Best for: Minimalistic style. Incredibly friendly & helpful owner. Generally very well-made beverages. Excellent range of desserts and baked foods. Specialty coffee. A pleasant place to spend time.

Not the best for: Matcha was a little lumpy. Could do with more comfortable seating

Verdict: An excellent café for the neighbourhood.

Atmosphere: Business-like, lively

Best for: Vegetarian café, situated in a lively multi-use complex. Simply decorated. Quite cosy & comfortable interior. Gluten-free desserts available. Absolutely brilliant Basque Cheesecake. Large number of vegetarian dishes: breakfasts, cakes, etc. Meat-free Polish dishes.

Not the best for: Inattentive service.

Verdict: Perfect for vegetarians.

Atmosphere: Homely, cosy

Best for: Peaceful atmosphere. Serves gluten-free & sugar-free desserts. Very cosy interior. Incredibly comfortable seats. Desserts were visually-appealing. Professional staff.

Not the best for: Not very tastefully decorated. Bland desserts. Mediocre drinks. Didn’t seem that fresh.
